Suffolk University canceled classes and evacuated their law school on Tremont Street after a bomb threat Thursday, the school confirmed.
Boston police responded to 121 Tremont Street at 4:06 p.m. to the report of a bomb threat, and they were still at the scene until 6 p.m.
Suffolk University said in a statement that David J. Sargent Hall — a seven-story building home to their law school — was evacuated, and evening classes were canceled Thursday night.
“The University evacuated its Sargent Hall and canceled evening classes following a bomb threat. The safety of our students, faculty, staff, and the broader community is always our highest priority,” a SU spokesperson said.
At 6 p.m., a Suffolk University spokesperson said the building had reopened.
‘Sargent Hall has been swept by police and an all clear has been given,” they wrote to Boston.com.
