An investigation is underway in Haverhill after a man and a woman were found shot to death inside a home Sunday evening, according to officials.
Haverhill police received a request for a well-being check at the Broadway residence at about 5:43 p.m., Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker and Haverhill Chief of Police Robert Pistone said in a statement.
At the scene, officers found a man and a woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds, they said.
Authorities have not publicly identified the man or woman, pending the notification of their next of kin. However, Tucker and Pistone said there is no known danger to the public.
The deaths are under investigation by Haverhill police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the DA’s office.
