A strong wind gust early Thursday morning blew a large portion of the Gardner Fire Department’s roof off.
Around 1 a.m., the department’s weather station recorded a wind gust of 60 mph. Surveillance video shared on the department’s Faceook page shows the metal roof inverting and breaking away from the structure.
According to Gardner Fire, they were making temporary repairs to remedy the situation.
