A former Easthampton educator is facing multiple charges of child sexual assault involving one child, the District Attorney’s Office announced.
57-year-old Troy Gray, who was an elementary school paraeducator in Easthampton, pleaded not guilty in court to five counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and one count of witness intimidation.
The Northwestern DA said the alleged incidents occurred between 2022 and 2023. According to Gray’s LinkedIn, he was a paraeducator at the Maple School, which closed in June of 2022. The Mountain View School opened in its place that fall.
The incidents took place at Gray’s address on Clark Street, court documents reveal.
Gray was released on his personal recognizance. He was ordered to stay away from children under 16, the Mountain View School, and the alleged victim and their family, and must be in contact with the probation department, the DA said.
Gray is expected back in court in April.
