DA releases new details on man and woman found dead in Boston hotel

A man and a woman whose bodies were discovered in a Theater District hotel room Monday had both sustained gunshot wounds, authorities said. 

The 43-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were found on the 13th floor at the Moxy Boston Downtown hotel Monday afternoon, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. Boston police responded to the 240 Tremont St. hotel at about 12:22 p.m., Boston.com previously reported.

The DA’s office did not identify either person or specify their cause of death, though officials noted that both victims had bullet wounds and investigators recovered a firearm at the scene.

Boston police and the DA’s office are continuing to investigate the incident.
