The man accused of fatally shooting two people in Nashua, NH, in September has been indicted on multiple charges in connection with their deaths, authorities said.
Victor Rivera, 48, allegedly shot and killed 45-year-old Nashua resident Patricia Swett and 44-year-old Manchester resident Matthew Champagne on Sept. 29. Police responded to Maple Street in Nashua for reports of gunshots around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 where the officers found Swett and Champagne dead.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office announced Tuesday that Rivera was indicted by a Hillsborough County Grand on two counts of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the deaths of Swett and Champagne by shooting them, plus two alternative counts of second-degree murder for recklessly causing their deaths under “circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, by shooting them.”
Rivera is scheduled to return to court on the charges on March 1.
