The fire, which was on the second and third floors, also spread to the attic according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Images from the scene show extensive damage to the back porches after the flames were extinguished.
Norman Phaneuf, a resident of the building, told WCVB that he could see smoke coming from a heater.
“I can smell it, no alarm, then fire, fire, fire, all the alarms,” he said.
