Man’s body recovered from Neponset River in Milton Tuesday morning

An investigation into the man’s death is ongoing, police said.

The body of a man was pulled from the Neponset River in Milton on Tuesday, State Police said. 

Massachusetts State Police patrols, detectives, and specialized units responded to the banks of the Neponset River at around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a “partially submerged body.” The body was in the area of the Neponset Valley Yacht Club off Granite Avenue in Milton, police said in a press release

State Police divers recovered the body, reportedly of an adult man, shortly after 11 a.m. 

The scene was cleared at 11:37 a.m., police said. 

An investigation into the man’s death will be conducted by the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County, MSP Crime Scene Services Section, and the state’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
