Update: the Lawrence Police Department said Tuesday night that Berube was found safe.

Lawrence police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a missing elderly woman.

Police said Diane Berube, 73, was last seen early Tuesday morning in the area of Andover Street and River Road, heading in the direction of Tewksbury, after walking away from her home in south Lawrence. She was wearing a red jacket.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police at (978) 794-5900.

LPD is asking the public's help with any information as to the whereabouts of the individual in the photo below who has been reported missing.
