Dunkin’ employee attacked in Watertown

A Dunkin' employee was sent to the hospital after an "unprovoked" attack Friday morning.

A man was arrested for allegedly attacking a Dunkin’ employee in Watertown Friday morning, police said.

Vartan Krikorian, 65, of Watertown, was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Krikorian entered a side door of the Dunkin’ location at 49 Mt. Auburn St. around 6 a.m. Friday morning and engaged in an argument with an employee, Watertown Police said. Krikorian then went behind the counter and assaulted the employee, according to police. Police described the attack as “unprovoked.”

The employee suffered nonlife-threatening injuries and was brought to a local hospital.

Krikorian was arraigned in Waltham District Court and pleaded not guilty, according to court documents. He is scheduled to appear in court next on March 4.
