Amazon delivery truck crashes into Georgetown building

No one was injured.

Authorities are investigating after an Amazon delivery truck crashed into a building in Georgetown on Monday. 

Georgetown police and fire responded to 9 Patriot Lane around 12:20 p.m. for reports that the delivery truck crashed into a leasing office at the address, police said. At the scene, first responders found the vehicle sticking out of the building next to the entrance. 

According to police, the driver got out of the truck before first responders arrived and is cooperating with investigators. The building is being assessed for structural damage by the town’s building inspector. 

No one was injured in the crash, which remains under investigation, according to police.
