An injured woman was found in a garbage truck in New Hampshire on Monday, officials, after being reportedly compacted in the truck at least four times.
The woman, who was not identified, was emptied into the sanitation truck from a dumpster, the Manchester, N.H. Fire Department said. The department reported to Beech Hill Drive just before 1 p.m.
The woman, who was contacted by crews through a side panel of the truck, was standing and speaking but wasn’t alert to answer questions, according to officials.
The department said it was difficult to access the woman, who had to be removed from the garbage truck through the top. She was secured to a stretcher and transported to Elliot Hospital after about 30 minutes.
It was not immediately clear why the woman was in the dumpster or the extent of her injuries.
