Two people were killed and two others injured in a single-car rollover crash in Dorchester Thursday morning.
The crash happened near the University of Massachusetts Boston campus on Morrissey Boulevard around 3:17 a.m., Massachusetts State Police said in a news release. Of the four people in the 2013 Hyundai Accent at the time, two were fatally wounded, another is in “grave condition” at a Boston hospital, and a fourth is hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to police.
Boston EMS dispatch recordings posted on Broadcastify indicate that all four were ejected from the car, and one died at the scene. Another was pronounced dead at a Boston hospital, State Police said.
Three of the victims are believed to be teenage minors, and all four are males, according to officials. Police said investigators are still confirming their identities.

A state trooper who was on patrol on Morrissey Boulevard at the time reportedly witnessed the crash. Police said a preliminary investigation indicates the Hyundai was traveling at a high rate of speed.
According to police dispatch recordings reviewed by The Boston Globe, a Boston police officer reported seeing the car run a red light in the Neponset section of Dorchester. The officer activated their police car’s lights and sirens, but a commander soon called off the pursuit, according to the Globe.
The officer then reported seeing the Hyundai driving erratically on Morrissey Boulevard; a few minutes later, the officer said the vehicle had rolled over.
The crash remains under investigation, according to State Police. Morrissey Boulevard was partially closed Thursday morning while rescue and investigation efforts were underway, though all lanes had reopened by 7:30 a.m.
