Police in Woburn are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Monday morning, according to a statement from Chief Robert Rufo.
Officers were called to a home on Washington Street at about 3:40 a.m. Monday for a report of a disturbance.
At the scene, police discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Mussie Nirayo, 22, of Cambridge, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Tyler Olivier, 26, of Woburn was brought to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
The motive for the shooting and whether or not Nirayo and Olivier knew each other remains under investigation.
Olivier was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Woburn District Court.
