Police investigating fatal stabbing of woman in Mattapan

A woman was fatally stabbed in Mattapan on Tuesday night. 

Boston police said officers responded to the report of the stabbing in the area of Rosewood Street around 9:40 p.m. At the scene, they found the woman suffering from apparent stab wounds. 

She died at the scene, police said.

The investigation into her killing is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to contact the department’s homicide detectives at 617-343-4470.
