Flight delayed by hours as state troopers called to remove passenger who reportedly refused to wear a mask

The flight from Boston's Logan Airport to Salt Lake City took off two hours after it was scheduled.

A flight from Boston’s Logan Airport was delayed Wednesday after a passenger refused to wear a mask, WCVB reports. The man was ultimately removed from the plane by Massachusetts State Police troopers.

According to a statement from state police, there were no charges in the two-person altercation.

“At this time we can confirm a dispute between 2 passengers,” read the Thursday morning emailed statement. “A male passenger was rebooked onto a later flight.”

According to WCVB, the altercation about the mask issue took place on Delta Air Lines Flight 670 at 6:55 p.m., after the plane had left the gate but before it had a chance to take off.
