Behold the sound of a Boston reporter getting hit by a snowplow’s wave of slush
"It was just a really far reaching wave of slop."
Scraaaape. “Woop!” FWOP!
That’s what it sounds like when a snowplow hits an unsuspecting bystander with a wall of snow. And unfortunately, WBZ reporter Anna Meiler found out the slush-covered way Friday morning.
Reporting on Friday morning’s snowstorm from the side of Route 24 in Bridgewater, Meiler got “whacked” with a plow’s snow spray on live TV, albeit off-camera.
Fortunately, Meiler was unharmed by the surprise snow shower, laughing it off while finishing her broadcast.
“I am a safe distance from the road,” she subsequently tweeted. “It was just a really far reaching wave of slop.”
As crews continue to clean up the snow, Massachusetts officials are encouraging residents to stay off the roads if possible. And as Meiler noted at the end of her TV hit Friday, people who do go out should “give those plows plenty of room.”
