A man was found dead in a car in East Boston on Thursday afternoon, according to Boston Police Department. The death is now under investigation.
Police reported they received 911 calls around 12:25 p.m. from East Boston. Upon arrival to the scene located near 7 Shelby Street, police reported they found the adult man in a parked car who was “non-viable.”
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The car was reportedly an Infiniti sedan, according to tweets which show the tarp-covered car being towed away.
The victim’s identity has not been announced yet. Police have also not said if any arrests have been made.
Earlier reports of the incident said that the man had suffered a stabbing and traumatic injuries, but most recent police reports do not specify the man’s cause of death.

Police are now examining all the facts surrounding the incident and ask anyone with information to call Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
