Boston’s Catholic Archdiocese announces mask requirements for holiday season
Parishioners attending Mass must wear face coverings beginning on Dec. 18 and lasting until Jan. 17, 2022.
The Archdiocese of Boston has announced new mask requirements for the holiday season.
In a statement, the Archdiocese announced that due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, parishioners attending Mass — including weddings and funerals — must wear face coverings beginning on Dec. 18 and lasting until Jan. 17, 2022.
Children under age 5 are exempt from the requirement, according to the statement.
According to The Boston Globe, the Archdiocese had announced back in May that those vaccinated were no longer required to wear masks or socially distance inside churches.
