Wakefield Police are investigating skeletal remains that were found near Wakefield Memorial High School on Tuesday, The Boston Globe reports.
Wakefield Police Chief Steven Skory reported that the remains were found between Rivers Lane and the high school tennis courts by a survey crew at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Globe.
There was reportedly police activity at the scene during school dismissal but Skory reportedly said there should be no concern of endangerment at the school.
An investigation by state and local officials is underway, according to the Globe.
