LOWELL — Police identified the woman who was found dead Friday at a home on Llewelyn Street in Lowell as 22-year-old Dejah Jenkins-Minus of Boston, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson
Friday around 10:45 a.m., authorities said Lowell police went to the home on Llewelyn Street to conduct a well-being check at the request of a person known to Jenkins-Minus.
Officers found her body inside the residence with signs of apparent trauma, according to the statement.
After an autopsy, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide by multiple sharp force injuries, according to the statement.
Officials said that this is not believed to be a random incident.
The investigation is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to that office, and Lowell police.
