1 dead, 1 critically injured in New Hampshire shooting

SEABROOK, N.H. (AP) — One man was killed in New Hampshire and another was in critical condition Monday in a morning shooting that led some stores to briefly close down.

The man who was dead was found shot in a driveway in Seabrook. Another man was found suffering from a gunshot wound, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office said.

Neither man has been identified. A third man was reported to have run away from the front of the home, though it was unclear his role in the shooting. Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati told reporters that no one had been arrested nor charged in the shooting, but that the person had been identified.

The attorney general’s office also did not provide any information on what led to the shooting in a Seabrook neighborhood that is home to Walmart, Market Basket and several fast food restaurants.

“This is believed to be a contained scenario, and all parties are believed to have been identified to this shooting,” the news release said.

Earlier, Seabrook police said there was a shooting and said a suspect was in custody.
