Motorcyclist seriously injured after hitting ladder on I-93 in New Hampshire

The 66-year-old motorcyclist was reportedly ejected off of his Harley.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after striking a ladder on I-93 last Thursday, New Hampshire State Police reported.

Troopers responded to a call shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 21 that a serious motorcycle crash occurred on I-93 South in Manchester, New Hampshire. The accident occurred between Exit 6 and the lower split of I-93 and I-293.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found the injured motorcyclist – later identified as 66-year-old Martin J. Peshka III of Milford, New Hampshire – and transported him to Elliot Hospital in Manchester. He suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Peshka reportedly was ejected from his motorcycle after his blue 2020 Harley Davidson hit the ladder on the highway causing him to lose control.

State Police reported an initial investigation found the ladder came off another vehicle that did not stop. The ladder blocked multiple southbound lanes of I-93 before being hit by Peshka’s motorcycle.

The two left lanes of I-93 southbound were closed for one hour following the crash while the damage was cleaned up.
