Authorities are investigating two separate, fatal shootings that occurred Friday night.
In Lowell, at 6:15 p.m., police were called to Barker Avenue, where they found a 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.
In Everett, police were called to Second and Revere streets around 8 p.m. after a report of shots fired, according to another statement from Ryan’s office.
Shortly after, police were called to Whidden Memorial Hospital for a report of a gunshot victim who had been taken to the medical center, according to the statement.
The 20-year-old man was later pronounced dead, according to officials.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
