Medway firefighters rescued a calf on Sunday after the baby cow fell into a well at a local farm, according to the Medway Fire Department.
The Medway Fire Department reported the well was 20 feet deep and the cow was in “serious danger of drowning.”
Photos of the incident show one firefighter in the well harnessing the calf, while another man held the other ends of the harness.
“There is no such thing as a typical day in the fire service,” the fire department wrote in a Facebook post. Two officers from the Medway Police Department also assisted in the rescue.
The calf rejoined with the farm’s herd shortly after the incident.
