A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Lawrence on Wednesday, according to officials.
The Lawrence Police Department reported at around 1:30 p.m., they responded to a call regarding a pedestrian injured in a car accident at the intersection of Winter Street and Essex Street.
Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim has not been identified at this time.
Lawrence Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit, and District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s Office are investigating the incident.
Police are advising people to avoid traveling in that area while the investigation is underway.
