Body found in Milford storage unit identified

A 54-year-old man was reportedly living in the unit.

A man reportedly living in a Milford storage unit was found dead from multiple stab wounds, officials announced on Thursday.

Police have identified the body as Paul Weaver, a 54-year-old from Milford. Weaver’s body was discovered in the storage unit, Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early announced at a press conference on Thursday.

Early said the incident is still under investigation.

Police responded to a call on Tuesday of a possible body in one of the units at the 15 Beech Street location. A person visiting a neighboring unit noticed what appeared to be a body resting in the unit and reported it.

Upon arrival — and after opening the padlocked unit — Weaver’s body was found with multiple stab wounds. The body was taken to medical examiners.

Early said police have uncovered evidence but provided no details. He added that they are still investigating when the initial murder occurred.

Milford police said they were unaware that there was anyone living inside the storage facility, and are investigating whether there might be others.
