Motorcyclist dies in Newton crash on I-95

NEWTON — A motorcyclist involved in a Friday night crash on Interstate 95 in Newton has died.

According to a series of tweets from Massachusetts State Police, there was a serious, multi-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound around 10:30 p.m. The collision closed two lanes on the highway.

The motorcyclist, who was not identified, was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, where “they were sadly confirmed to be dead,” according to police.

No further information was immediately available.
