Two teens hospitalized following crash in Spencer

Police identified the driver as a 17-year-old from Webster and the passenger as a 17-year-old from Worcester.

Two teenagers are hospitalized with serious injuries following a car crash in Spencer early Saturday morning, according to officials.

Police reported a Mazda SUV crashed into a traffic pole at the corner of Main St and Maple St. The front end of the SUV was seriously damaged, and the two occupants of the vehicle were seriously injured.

The driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while the passenger was transported by Life Flight. Police identified the driver as a 17-year-old from Webster and the passenger as a 17-year-old from Worcester.

Police said as of Monday, the two are still hospitalized with serious injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
