A 21-year-old man is dead following a crash on I-495 in Tewksbury, according to state police.
Authorities were called around 2:19 a.m. Friday for a reported rollover crash along the highway, south of Route 38. Officers found that the victim, identified as Chris Otero, of Haverhill, had been ejected from the vehicle, police said in a press release.
Tewksbury firefighters and emergency responders began life-saving measures at the scene and then transported Otero to Lowell General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Via investigation, police believe Otero was driving a 2008 Honda Accord southbound on I-495 when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over, coming to rest along the northbound side, according to the release.
