The body of a pedestrian was found on an exit ramp of Route 90 by police on Monday afternoon, according to a report from the Massachusetts State Police Department.
Police received a call at 12:45 p.m. regarding a pedestrian down on the Exit 135 ramp on Route 90 eastbound. When troopers arrived, they found the body of a deceased man, who was identified on Tuesday as 50-year-old Gregory Doody of Boston.
The Exit 135 ramp was closed for two hours. While the incident is still under investigation, the report said the troopers believe Doody was struck by many vehicles on the highway.
“It is believed the man was struck by multiple unknown vehicles where the operators were likely not aware they had struck a person,” State Police wrote. “At least one vehicle has been identified, the operator of which is fully cooperating with the investigation.”
Police added they are currently not looking for anyone. State Police Crime Scene Services, Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, and the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit are currently working to analyze the scene and help Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police investigate the incident.
