Driver dead after box truck rollover in Belmont early Thursday
The crash happened around 2:50 a.m., police said.
The driver of a box truck is dead after authorities say he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over on Common Street early Thursday.The crash happened around 2:50 a.m. The truck was the only vehicle involved, and the driver, a 45-year-old man, was pronounced dead on scene, police said in a press release.Authorities are continuing to investigate, the release said.Fire Department Capt. Rick Nohl told WCVB that the truck was transporting produce. The truck had Chang and Sons Enterprises, out of South Deerfield, printed on it.“We were trying to extricate him, but then we discovered that he was deceased,” Nohl said, according to the news station.The man has not been publicly identified.
