Woman drives SUV through Norwood Airport gate, crashes into marsh
The woman was acting strangely before the crash, according to a witness.
A woman drove an SUV through a gate at Norwood Memorial Airport and crashed into a marsh at the end of a runway Monday afternoon, police said.
The unidentified 49-year-old driver was not injured, according to Norwood Police Chief William Brooks. She was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Photos from the scene from Brooks show the damaged gate, and the crash is under investigation.

A witness told WCVB-TV that the driver was acting strangely before the crash. He said he saw her walking around the parking lot and that she tried to get into his car before getting into the SUV and driving laps around the lot.
