Police investigating fatal shooting in Malden
The victim, a male in his 20s, was shot in the chest.
Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred just past midnight Tuesday in Malden.
Malden Police responded to a 911 call at around 12:10 a.m., according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office. The victim, a male in his 20s, was found around Cross Street, which lies between Malden Center and the Everett border.
The victim, who was shot in the chest, was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Authorities said they do not think the shooting was random. No suspects have been charged, and the investigation is ongoing.
