State police seeking man accused of shooting trooper in Hyannis
Detectives identified 35-year-old Andre Sterling in the shooting.
State police are searching for Andre Sterling, a 35-year-old man identified by detectives as the person who shot a trooper in Hyannis Friday night.
Police charged Sterling with several crimes, including armed assault with intent to murder.

Police said they failed to retrieve Sterling’s firearm, and that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Trooper John Lennon was shot in his right hand Friday night on Camp Street in Hyannis, police said. He was released from the hospital on Monday, and his condition is not life-threatening.
