Woman killed in high-speed crash in Brockton

One witness described the driver of the black Acura as "flying" down the road.

A woman was killed in a high-speed crash in Brockton Tuesday afternoon, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. and resulted in a three-car pile-up, police said. A suspect is in custody.

The crash happened at the intersection of Belmont Street — part of Route 123 — and Pearl Street, near the Easton town line.

Witnesses told the Enterprise and WCVB that the suspect behind the fatal crash ran a red light at the intersection. One witness described the driver of the black Acura as “flying” down the road.

“It was literally something you’d see out of a movie. It was scary. It happened within a blink of an eye,” the witness told the Enterprise.
