4-year-old boy riding bike in N.H. hit, killed by pickup truck

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A 4-year-old boy riding a bicycle was struck by a pickup truck and died of his injuries in Manchester, police said.

The boy was struck Thursday afternoon, police said. The area is a narrow alley that runs from Catholic Medical Center to West High School and is a high-traffic area with many children playing and riding bikes.

Police said when they arrived, the found the boy lying in the alley. He was unconscious and not breathing. The truck was parked nearby.

The driver, 39, was taking a right turn into the alley and struck the child, police said. Police are still investigating; no charges have been filed.
