N.H. teen attending Syracuse University killed in collision with campus trolley

A New Hampshire teen in his first year at Syracuse University is dead after a collision with a campus trolley while skateboarding Tuesday night.Trevor Daley Pierce, of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, set to graduate in 2024, died following the crash at the intersection of Comstock and Waverly avenues near the school, according to a letter from Marianne Thomson, dean of students.Pierce was pursuing studies in political philosophy. He was also a member of the university’s Renee Crown University Honors Program and the Honors Living Learning Community in Sadler Hall, Thomson wrote.“This is an unthinkable loss for Trevor’s family, friends and loved ones and the entire Syracuse University community,” she said.According to Syracuse.com, authorities were called to the area around 5:23 p.m. Pierce was rushed to Upstate University Hospital and pronounced dead.
