Body of missing Maine man, 29, found after multi-day search
DENMARK, Maine (AP) — Searchers have found the body of a Portland man who was missing for several days near Pleasant Mountain.
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife said the body of Samuel Kern, 29, was located on Saturday by a team from Maine Search and Rescue Dogs. Kern had been last seen on Sept. 18. His family reported him missing on Sept. 23.
The inland fisheries department said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy. A spokesman for the department declined to speculate on Kern’s cause of death. The Maine Warden Service and local public safety departments participated in the search.
