Boston-based performance artist and activist Destiny Polk, who was reported missing after she disappeared at a Texas airport Friday, has been found safe, her father said Monday.

“Our prayers have been answered and I’m eternally grateful for all the support and loving concern and I am happy to inform everyone that my daughter is fine and resting and doing fine,” Johnnie Polk wrote in a Facebook post.

Destiny “Des” Polk, the founder of the art-activist platform Radical Black Girl, disappeared after she was last seen at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. Her father said Sunday she did not board her flight to Boston.

Johnnie Polk did not say how his daughter was located. He thanked law enforcement and said he is grateful she was found safe in the post.

“Most importantly I thank God for keeping my child safe in his arms and she will be up on her feet soon continually being a light and loving soul as always,” he wrote.
