Officer-involved shooting reported in Haverhill
The incident occurred on Thorndike Street, authorities said.
A man was shot multiple times by Haverhill police early Friday morning when they responded to a domestic violence call at 23 Thorndike St., authorities said.
Police were called at 4:59 a.m., and the man was shot “in the course of their response,” according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
The man was brought to Lawrence General Hospital and then transported to a Boston hospital. He was reportedly still alive as of just before 10:30 a.m. He has not been publicly identified.
