Police: Man hospitalized after being kicked in head in ‘violent assault’ in downtown Boston

A 60-year-old Boston man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged assault.

A 60-year-old Boston man is facing assault charges after he allegedly kicked another man in the head multiple times on Friday evening, causing serious injuries, according to Boston police. Darwin May, 60, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, police saidOfficers responded around 8:37 p.m. to the report that a man was unconscious after “being kicked multiple times in the head” near Cambridge Street and Blossom Street, police said. Upon arrival, the victim was being transported for treatment to a local hospital by Boston EMS. According to police, the man remains in stable but serious condition. May remained at the scene, and he was arrested and taken into custody. Police said the 60-year-old is expected to be arraigned Monday in connection with the attack.
