Jamaica Plain man dies in Boston motorcycle crash

The 32-year-old crashed around 2:47 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.

A Jamaica Plain man died when his motorcycle overturned while exiting the Mass Pike eastbound in Boston Wednesday, state police said in a news release

Stephen Salazar, 32, was taking an off-ramp at Exit 18 around 2:47 p.m. on Wednesday when his motorcycle overturned, state police said. Troopers requested emergency medical services, but Salazar was pronounced dead on scene.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that Salazar was exiting Route 90 when, for reasons unknown at this time, he failed to negotiate the turn causing the motorcycle to overturn,” state police said. “No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.”

Police said EMS declared Salazar dead before he could be taken to a hospital.
