Police investigating theft of 2 Lamborghinis from Wayland dealership
The stolen vehicles were later found crashed in Malden.
Police are investigating after two Lamborghinis were stolen from a Wayland dealership early Tuesday morning and later found crashed in Malden.Wayland police Lt. Sean Gibbons said officers responded to the Herb Chambers Lamborghini dealership on Boston Post Road around 3:05 a.m. after the alarm company reported a break-in at the location. Responding officers observed three vehicles, including two Lamborghinis, being operated in a suspicious manner. The vehicles drove off when approached, according to the officers.Gibbons said Wayland police were able to conduct a traffic stop on the third vehicle and two individuals were detained.The investigation revealed a rock was used to smash into the dealership, Gibbons said.

Malden police Captain John Amirault said the department received information about the theft and search for the two vehicles in Wayland. A Malden police detective reported spotting the vehicles and was following them while waiting for a cruiser to conduct a stop, when the Lamborghinis suddenly drove off.
A short time later, around 8:45 a.m., a crash involving the Lamborghinis and a third vehicle was reported at Charles and Pearl Street. Both operators of the luxury vehicles ran from the scene. Malden police said one of the drivers was taken into custody, but the other remains at large.
