Plymouth principal charged with drunken driving let go
The decision was "effective immediately," according to the school district's superintendent.
A Plymouth high school principal no longer holds his position after he was arrested for allegedly driving drunk over the weekend.
James Hanna, who was named principal of Plymouth South High School back in 2017, has been let go from this position, a letter from district Superintendent Gary Maestas announced, according to Wicked Local Plymouth.
A copy of the letter, shared on Twitter by 7 News, notes that the decision is “effective immediately.”

Hanna was arraigned on charges of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle with injuries from mobile phone use after authorities responded to a crash in Plymouth Saturday evening. Hanna reportedly couldn’t recite the alphabet during a field sobriety test, and a breath test indicated that his blood alcohol content was nearly three times the legal limit.
