Two men dead in Framingham shooting late Friday night
No arrests have been made and the investigation is 'open and ongoing,'
FRAMINGHAM — A shooting just before midnight Friday on Second Street left two men dead, according to police and the Middlesex district attorney’s office.
The shooting occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. said Framingham Chief of Police Steven Trask and District Attorney Marian Ryan in a statement released Saturday morning.
“The preliminary investigation suggests this was an isolated incident,’’ the statement said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is “open and ongoing,’’ according to the statement.
Saturday morning, there was a heavy law enforcement presence of Framingham police and State Police outside a pair of apartment buildings at 44A and 46B Second St.
A courtyard between the two buildings was cordoned off by police tape, with officers standing along the Beaver Street sidewalk, and in the courtyard and a parking lot beyond it.
At one point, an officer with a black dog could be seen walking through the area.
