Police: Man threw knife during road rage incident

AUBURN, Mass. (AP) — A man who police say injured two people after he threw a knife through the open window of a vehicle during a road rage incident has been arrested, Massachusetts State police said.
Two vehicles were traveling west on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Auburn at about 9 p.m. Saturday when one cut off the other, police said in a statement Sunday.
The confrontation “escalated to lights being flashed, gestures expressed, ‘brake jobs,’” and the knife being thrown, police said.
The folding pocket knife entered an open window, striking the 22-year-old man driving and a 23-year-old woman in the passenger seat. Both victims, who are from Middletown, Connecticut, sustained minor injuries and told police they would seek medical treatment on their own. Police did not specify the nature of their injuries.
A state trooper caught up with the other driver, Joshua Garrey, 26, of Wethersfield, Connecticut, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and other offenses.
He was released on $500 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at a future date. It could not be determined if he has an attorney.
