A Raynham woman was injured, and her dog killed, when they were allegedly struck by a car while using a crosswalk Thursday evening. Now, the driver has been cited.Ashley Briggs, 28, was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a crosswalk violation following the incident, which happened around 4:50 p.m. on North Main Street near the White Street intersection. Briggs stayed on scene.The pedestrian, Susan Voss-Hadley, sustained “significant lower body injuries,” according to police. She was taken to a hospital in Rhode Island, where she was reportedly alert. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.Bentley, her chocolate lab, died due to injuries from the crash, authorities said. Police are continuing to investigate.
