Family displaced after East Boston fire
A family of four was forced from its home in East Boston after a two-alarm fire late Monday night.
Firefighters saw fire showing from an attached, three-family building “from the basement to the top floor” at 296 Princeton St. when they arrived on scene around 11:25 p.m., the Boston Fire Department said in a tweet.

By 12:18 a.m., all occupants were safely evacuated and first responders had knocked down the heavy flames, according to the department.
“Major overhauling being done, all companies are working,” officials said in a tweet.

One family was displaced as a result of the blaze: three adults and an infant, Boston 25 News reports.
Fire officials and investigators remained on scene close to 1 a.m. as they worked to determine the cause of the fire, according to the department. One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
Officials estimated the damage at 294 and 296 Princeton St. around $100,000.
