Family displaced after East Boston fire

A family of four was forced from its home in East Boston after a two-alarm fire late Monday night.

Firefighters saw fire showing from an attached, three-family building “from the basement to the top floor” at 296 Princeton St. when they arrived on scene around 11:25 p.m., the Boston Fire Department said in a tweet.

By 12:18 a.m., all occupants were safely evacuated and first responders had knocked down the heavy flames, according to the department.

“Major overhauling being done, all companies are working,” officials said in a tweet.
