A Boston police spokesman confirmed to Boston.com Monday Nguyen had been found and that the department had cancelled the missing person alert.
An investigation remains ongoing, he said.
Nguyen was last seen at around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 near 612 Metropolitan Ave. in Hyde Park before she disappeared.
Authorities announced the following day Nguyen was reported missing and called on the public for help.
Family, friends, and supporters used the “Finding Emily Nguyen” Facebook page to expand search efforts.
In a post shared on the page Dec. 18, Nguyen’s father wrote that police reached out to the family after they found a new trace of her, adding that, “She is not in danger.”
“Thank you for all the care and support,” another post published Saturday night said, announcing that Nguyen returned home. “Happy holidays to all.”
